Searching uploaded documents

My wiki has a lot of documents that we need to upload and reference. Does QualityBox search these documents? How does it work?

QualityBox uses Elasticsearch to index uploaded content. Content should be indexed and found in Search Results almost immediately. One way to check if a file has been indexed is to visit the File URL, and add action=cirrusDump to the URL of the PDF file.

Search indexing does depend on the ‘job queue’, so if you’re not seeing the results you expect, we can check your settings, MediaWiki job queue and various Elasticsearch system parameters.

The content is stored in the image.img_metadata field as serialized JSON.
